Regionals Rap…

We’ve arrived back at JAW HQ after an adrenaline-charged few days at one of the toughest regional events to date, the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Pacific Regionals held in Wollongong, NSW.

5 of our 6 athletes who earned their place have competed so far; this weekend we are seeing Sara Sigmundsdóttir fighting for her spot to the Reebok Crossfit Games 2016 as she competes at the Meridian Regional in Spain.

Overall, it was a great weekend and edge of your seat excitement whether you were there in the flesh or watching the events stream online. The men’s final event on the very last day came down to a nail-biter – so many guys were in the running for the top five spots, it was the perfect finalé to what was a close weekend.

A sales team from JAW were run off their feet for a very busy 3 days, selling #jawgrips #jawgloves #jawgraps #jawfingersleeves plus for the first time this year, sewers were at the ready completing on-the-spot orders to custom-make #customcolour #jawgrips and #jawgloves! These were very well received and JAW is very proud of the record sales – speaks volumes for the incredible product they are!

Thank you to all our loyal and new clientele; you keep coming back and you keep endorsing our product – and it’s not only due to the quality of our products, but due to your support and testimonials that has helped JAW grow into the global supplier it is today! The team at JAW are all so pleased to be a part of such an illustrious grip!

JAW Ambassadors did us proud, here’s some amazing stories from the weekend!

Zeke Grove finished 4th overall. Zeke has made it to the Reebok Crossfit Games 2016 in July and gets to compete for the title of the Fittest on Earth in California, USA!!

Zeke’s best results were a 1st place in Event 3, a 2nd place in Event 2, and a 3rd place in Event 7! Zeke had an amazing day one which put him in 1st place, and a brilliant finish in the top 5!

It was Ricky Garard’s first Regional experience and he finished 6th Overall – narrowly missing a top 5 finish by a measly 3 points. Ricky’s best finish was 2nd place in Event 6. Ricky also had an awesome PR (9kg) on the snatch ladder. The emotions on his face were very visible; especially the moment captured for the world to see when he was looking at his brother watching from the crowd.

Sammy Wood finished 9th overall. Sammy’s best results were 7th place across events 1, 5 and 7. Sammy showed a great fight the entire weekend and did the JAW girls and CrossFit enthusiasts alike proud!

Courtney Fitzharris finished 15th Overall. Courtney’s best finish was a 5th place in Event 7. Courtney had an awesome performance all weekend, her determination and fight heading into the final event was so visible on her face - concluding the weekend with her best placed Regionals result.

It was also Haydn Wolfsbauer’s first year competing at the Pacific Regionals. Haydn showed what a big heart and determination he has to continue competing all weekend with an injury in what turned out to be one of the toughest Regionals to date. It was a great experience for Haydn, and we are all looking forward to seeing him there again in 2017.

That’s it for Part A – keep an eye out for our Regionals-Rap – Part B once the Meridian Regionals come to a close this weekend
